The Queenstown Tennis Club Championships will be held over the weekend of Sat 23-Sun 264 March 2024. Entry is restricted to paid-up members of Queenstown Tennis Club. The following events will be staged providing there are sufficient entries:-
All members are free to enter the Open Grade competitions. The Social Grade in Men's Doubles and Ladies' Doubles has been introduced to encourage members to participate who may be reluctant to enter the Open Grade Doubles. There is only one grade in singles but there will be a feed in, so if you are not of a really high standard, don't worry. You can still enter and you won't get drawn against a top player in the 1st round.
However, members playing doubles should enter only one grade (ie. you can't enter both grades in doubles). Our request is that experienced members who play Premier Twilight, Quad or who play to a good level should enter the Open Grade. Members who play Midweek tennis, A Grade Twilight or who are perhaps relatively new to tennis should enter the Social Grade, though they are free to enter the Open Grade if they wish.
The QTC committee reserves the right to move players across grades depending on entries received.
We will have a simple BBQ following play on the Saturday 23 March, cost $10 pp. Entry fees are as follows and can be paid on the day:-
Singles + doubles: $20
Singles only: $10
Doubles only: $10
BBQ: $10 pp
You can enter by adding your name to the poster in the clubhouse, or fill in the ONLINE ENTRY FORM. Any questions please email.
