Hi, I'm Miki Nobuzawa

I'm 12 years old, my birthday is 23 February. I was born in Invercargill but I've lived in Queenstown all my life. I've been playing tennis since I was four years old after my Dad saw an advert in the Mountain Scene for tennis lessons and asked me if I wanted to have a go. I had lessons with Mark first and I've been in Lan's Tennis Academy for about 3 years now.

Lan's Tennis Academy has really helped me to develop my game. I used to get frustrated on court if things were not working and he has given me lots of advice to help me improve concentration. He's also helped me develop my shots technically. My best shot is my forehand.

I've played in the Nationals 12s age group, indoors and outdoors, and I'll be doing that again this season. In October 2010 I played in the Junior Masters 12s age group which is for the top 8 players in the whole country and I came 5th overall, which I was really pleased with. I'll be playing in the Queenstown Prince Junior Open on 20-21 November 2010.

I went to the Heineken Open in 2010 and got the autographs of John Isner, Philip Kohlschreiber and David Ferrer. My favourite player is Roger Federer. My ultimate goal is to win Wimbledon because it's the most popular tournament but I need more experience on grass courts.
