Sadly, Ben couldn't repeat his valiant effort against Dennis Kudla (USA) who narrowly beat Ben in the Roehampton tournament last week. This time Ben went down 1-6 4-6. He can now turn his attention to the doubles where he will partner Sam Barry (Ire), his usual partner. They have a great record together though will have a tough first match. Their opponents are an unseeded pair Kubler and Whittington of Australia. Ben has beaten Whittington before, albeit not when he was playing with Kubler who is in fact the #1 seed in the Boys singles.

Ben and Sam's brave run in the doubles at the Aegon Junior International has come to an end at the semi-finals, beaten by number 6 seeds Kontinen & Vesely 6-7 4-6. Nevertheless, it's a great warm-up for Wimbledon Juniors which start on Monday. Go Ben!

Another outstanding performance from Ben and partner Sam Barry in the doubles where they have now defeated the number 1 seeds Broady / Farquharson of the UK 6-4 7-6 in the quarter-finals. In the semi-finals they will now play Kontinen (FIN) and Vesely (CZE), the number 6 seeds.

Ben and doubles partner Sam Barry (Ire) has another good win in the doubles yesterday beating Mitchell / Whittington (Australia) 6-2 6-3. They will now play the number 1 seeds Broady / Farqharson (UK) in the quarter-finals.

Ben is currently competing at the Aegon Junior International at Roehampton in London, the last tournament before the Wimbledon Juniors. Unseeded for this tournamenet, Ben had a solid win in the first round beating qualifier Sebastian Lopez of Colombia 6-3 6-3. In the second round Ben was up against 5th seed Denis Kudla of the USA, and after an incredible tussle Ben was unlucky to go down 4-6 6-3 6-7(5). Could not have been closer.
In the doubles Ben and regular partner Sam Barry of Ireland are through to the 2nd round after a good win 6-4 6-4 over 5th seeds Dellien (Bolivia) & Thiem (Austria). They will play a couple of Aussies in the next round.
