The club would like to provide a greater number of organised and structured events for Juniors, as well as the provision of tennis balls for junior club play & possible travel assistance to teams representing the Club. The success of the programme will depend to a large extent on the assistance of parents. Co-ordination of Junior Club events will be taken on by Kirsten Holm-Smith (442 1016) and Dave Pollock (442 6186) who have developed this exciting new junior programme. This season the following Junior compeitions will be offered:
QUEENSTOWN JUNIOR OPEN - Held on the weekend of Saturday 3rd-Sunday 4th December 2011. Please click here for results and further information.
Family Friday Tennis will be organised at the Club from 3.30-5.30. It is envisaged as social, family orientated, BBQ, bring a friend $5 kind of concept, Ladder challenges will also be played on Fridays.
Grasshopper tournaments will also be run on some Sunday mornings
PARENT CHILD TOURNAMENT - This will be held at the Queenstown Tennis Club on FRIDAY 9 DECEMBER, starting at 3.30pm. Just drop an email to the club at queenstowntennisclub@gmail.com to register for the event. Regisrations close on Friday 4 December. The tournament is free to all Queenstown Club Members. Non members may participate, the cost per pair is $20. A BBQ will be provided at the conclusion of the tennis.

You can indicate your/your childs interest in playing in all of these events on the Junior Registration Form. That way we can be sure that we have contact details to send you information on the various events and tournaments that you are interested in.
IN ORDER TO PLAY IN ANY/ALL OF THESE JUNIOR CLUB EVENTS, PARTICIPANTS MUST BELONG TO THE QUEENSTOWN JUNIOR TENNIS CLUB.

The Queenstown Prince Junior Open was successfully held over the weekend of 3-4 December 2011. Whilst conditions on the Saturday varied from warm to overcast to incredibly windy, Sunday matches were held under a brilliant blue sky and hot sunshine.
