Yes, it's that time of year again. Hopefully, you have all had a good winter and are now ready to dust off the tennis racquet and hit some balls. Maybe you've been inspired by the US Open too. As usual, Queenstown Tennis Club will be staging 3 Open Days for Senior (adult) players and 1 Junior Open day plus a working Bee. These are free of charge and everybody is welcome to come along, have a hit and learn more about the club. The dates are as follows:-
SENIOR OPEN DAY Saturday, 9th September, from 1pm; plus BBQ from 4pm (bring a salad if you can) JUNIOR OPEN DAY Sunday 10th September from 1pm SENIOR OPEN DAY Saturday 16th September, from 1pm SENIOR OPEN DAY Saturday, 23rd from 1pm
Additionally, on the morning of Saturday 9th September, we are having a working bee from 9am to spruce up the clubhouse and courts prior to play. We need volunteers to come along and clean, tidy and do a bit of gardening. Please come along if you can, even if just for an hour or two, and if you have tools like brushes, brooms, rakes and secateurs that is always useful.
