Hi, I'm Bjorn Pollock

I was born on 6th October 2000, so I'm 10 years old. I've been playing tennis since I was 4 years old. My Dad first got me into tennis and I remember hitting a ball hanging from a pole when I was really small. I'm right-handed and my best shot is my forehand. My favourite player is Roger Federer.

Just recently I was in the Southern Lakes 12s and under boys team that won the Quad competition in Dunedin. We  beat teams from South Canterbury, Otago and Southland, all of which have far more players to select from than us.

I'm playing in the Queenstown Prince Junior Open on 13-14 November but I'm playing in the 12s boys tournament  even though I'm still young enough to play in the 10s.

My best subjects at school are P.E. and handwriting and my other hobbies are snowboarding and swimming.

 My goal in tennis is to win at least one Grand Slam. My favourite event is Wimbledon but I like to go to the Heineken Open in Auckland because you can get to meet some of the top players. I've had my photo taken with Juan Carlos Ferrero, Robin Soderling and Juan Martin del Potro.
